You may think that today’s diversity programs are just an updated version of the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws. To the contrary, EEO and diversity are very different approaches. One is about compliance with legal requirements, and the other is about business strategy. Both are about an organization’s bottom line. Let’s look at the differences between diversity management, EEO planning, and affirmative action.
